New stock added!

How are we fitting it all in?! The shop is becoming ever more Tardis-like as we go on but it’s all going in nicely. Heaven knows where all the seasonal stuff’s going to go (yes, I’m starting to think about that but I hesitate to use the “C” word just yet…) Regular readers will know that most of our additions come from suggestions from customers, whether it’s from orders that I think we need to have on the shelves for everyone to buy or just “have you got…” requests. When you visit, don’t be shy if you think we’re missing something!

Balsamic vinegarBiona Organic Balsamic Vinegar – 500ml for £3.99

I use a drizzle of balsamic vinegar as a salad dressing and it’s also lovely used with olive oil as a dip for crusty bread. Biona is a 100% organic brand and we have several of their products in the shop, such as spelt pasta, wholegrain mustard and other sauces.

Trek barsTrek Bars and Flapjacks – £1.20 each

I had these recommended to me by a customer who runs and cycles long distances.   They are high in protein, vegan and gluten free. They’re made by the same company who make the very popular Nakd bars.

GF oatsDelicious Alchemy Gluten Free Oats – 450g for £3.49

Another customer request – for those who can’t have gluten in their diets, there’s now no need to go without a filling bowl of porridge in the morning! I really liked the packaging on this – we also have their Vanilla Sponge and Chocolate Brownie gluten free cake mixes in stock.

Ecover hand washEcover Citrus and Orange Blossom hand wash – 250ml for £3.35

A customer placed an order for this and I liked the sound of it so it’s on the shelves. Ecover have an entirely ecological factory, making these lovely cruelty-free products. The products don’t clog up the environment after use either so it’s all good!

Quinoa chips - tomato and garlicQuinoa Chips with Sundried Tomato and Garlic – 69p for 40g

Another addition to the expanding ‘crisps’ section in the shop. These are very nice indeed and I had a hard time not finishing the whole bag in an undignified rush! These are lower in fat that normal crisps and have so much more flavour – I can heartily recommend these. These are also gluten free and vegan.
